“The meat paradox: Why we eat animals even though we love them”

Eating schnitzel and petting animals—isn’t that contradictory? When people become aware of this contradiction, they find it unpleasant. To avoid this, they use various strategies so that they can continue to eat meat without remorse. Unfortunately, these strategies also prevent people who want to reduce their ecological footprint from giving up meat. But there are ways to counter these strategies.
